Why is implantation advantageous, id est the root implant?

Preparation of tooth implants
Before the operation the condition of the patient is evaluated, the anatomical features are mapped with the help of an X-ray and we are also getting further information on the general condition.
For the tooth implant proper mouth hygiene is needed. The areas to be operated shall be free from inflammation, so the possible problems shall be treated before the operation:
- gingivitis
- scaling
- decayed tooth
- infection
In order to speed up the recovery, the doctor collects information on the eating and smoking habits of the patient.
Who can get a tooth implant?
InHungary every person over 18, tooth implantation can be carried out at healthy patients. unfortunately there are cases when you can not have an implantation - there are illnesses which contra- indicate the implantation. Such illnesses are: diabetes, heart disorders, bone disorders or untreated high blood pressure.
What do I have to do after tooth implantation?
After tooth implantation regular and proper mouth and tooth hygiene is compulsory in order to ensure the long life of the implant. Not proper mouth hygiene might result the loss of the tooth implant.
Proper tooth and mouth hygiene after tooth implantation:
- Brushing teeth at least twice a day.
- Rinsing with Listerine or Chlorhexamedl (or with equivalent products) at least one a week.
- Avoid smoking
- Avoid eating dishes with sugar
- Control inspection at least in every 6 months and keeping all the order of the dentist.
It is recommended to remove scaling at least in every 6 months.
What do you undertake if you decide to have tooth implantation?
If there is enough bone, tooth implantation is divided into two sections: the first one is the implantation of the tooth root. Depending on the number of the implants it is a one or one and a half hour long operation which is made in local anesthesia. After the implantation there is a 3-4 months long recovery period after which the patient returns to the dentist there he gets the final crowns on the implants. This second phase means a few painless treatment (for example preparing a proof, checking the structure) during which the technician also checks the teeth of the patient to ensure proper colors and shapes.
