Teeth of the baby are developing even in the mother (milk teeth start hardening in the jaw bone). Therefore it is important for the mother to eat calcium rich dishes - this way the child gets a good basis for good teeth. Later these teeth are developing and penetrate the gum which causes a strong pain at a lot of baby.
At the babies the first teeth might cause symptoms (discharge of salvia might start at the age of 2-3 months, which can irritate the cheek). Furthermore the defecation can be lax; its cheek can be more red in those days when the tooth is penetrating the gum, in some cases wound might develop on the cheek.
Tooth penetration can weaken the body, the babies become ill in most of the cases - it is natural that its nose starts running. Because of the salvia and of the pain its appetite is worse, the defecation is lax and more often.
What is the order?
6-7 months: four corner-teeth
7-9 months: further four corner-teeth
10-14 months: four bicuspids
15-18 months: four canine teeth
24-36 months: four gum-teeth
It is a misbelief that tooth penetration lasts only for a few days, the penetration of 1-1 tooth might last for weeks. First the baby starts chewing and its gum gets swollen, later it becomes naughty then comes a few days when its teeth are penetrating the gum. It lasts for 3-4 days in case of the corner- teeth, but at the back teeth it can take a week till they penetrate the gum.
